Ramón Guanipa agradeció a Donald Trump, Marco Rubio y Rick Scott por sus esfuerzos en la liberación de su padre, Juan Pablo Guanipa, preso político en Venezuela. El senador Rick Scott denunció que Guanipa es retenido como “moneda de cambio” por líderes chavistas. Ramón expresó su confianza en que su padre será liberado pronto y podrá contribuir a la reconstrucción del país.
Ramón Guanipa, hijo del dirigente opositor Juan Pablo Guanipa, expresó este jueves su agradecimiento al presidente Donald Trump, al secretario de Estado Marco Rubio y al senador Rick Scott por los esfuerzos que se están realizando para lograr la liberación de su padre y de todos los presos políticos que continúan detenidos en Venezuela.
El joven relató que sostuvo una conversación con el senador Scott para actualizarlo sobre la situación de su padre y del resto de los detenidos por motivos políticos. “Ayer tuve la oportunidad de hablar con el senador Rick Scott sobre mi papá y sobre todos los presos políticos que siguen en cautiverio. Agradecí por su apoyo y por su compromiso con todas las personas venezolanas, especialmente con los presos políticos que siguen detrás de las rejas”, afirmó.
También extendió su agradecimiento al presidente Trump y al secretario Rubio “por liderar este esfuerzo histórico para volver nuestra Venezuela próspera y libre de nuevo”. Aseguró que el respaldo de ambos ha sido clave para mantener la presión internacional en favor de la liberación de los detenidos.
“Senador Scott, usted es un gran amigo de la gente venezolana y siempre vamos a recordar su esfuerzo y su apoyo por nuestra liberación”, añadió.
Dijo confiar en que su padre recuperará la libertad “muy pronto” y que podrá reunirse con el senador para “trabajar juntos por la reconstrucción de nuestro país”.
El miércoles, el senador estadounidense Rick Scott había informado que conversó con el hijo y el hermano de Juan Pablo Guanipa, denunciando que el dirigente opositor continúa encarcelado “como prisionero político por Delcy Rodríguez y Diosdado Cabello”.
“Lo están usando como moneda de cambio para mantener el poder. No podemos darnos por vencidos. Debemos traer a Juan Pablo y a cada prisionero político de vuelta a casa ahora”, escribió Scott.
